International Conference on Social Policy and Governance Innovation:
Towards Social Equity and Cohesion in Asia
December 1-2, 2012

School of Public Administration, South China University of Technology (SCUT)
and
The Department of Asian and Policy Studies, Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd)
Themed “towards Social Equity and Cohesion in Asia”, The International Conference on Social Policy and Governance Innovation will focus on social policy and governance in Asia from a comparative perspective.
Paper and panel proposals on but not limited to social security, health care, education, housing, planning, migration, social protection, employment, non-profit administration, welfare state, and broad governance issues are invited. Both qualitative and quantitative studies are welcome.
The conference is supported by the Journal of Asian Public Policy. Conference papers of good quality will be referred to the journal for consideration for publication.
Please send an abstract of no more than 400 words in Word format to Dr Alex He Jingwei (HKIEd) at jwhe@ied.edu.hk on or before October 15 2012. Please include full name, position, affiliation, and email in the abstract. For colleagues from mainland China, please submit your abstracts to Dr Yu Feng (SCUT) at pafyu@scut.edu.cn. This conference adopts bilingual policy. Papers of both English and Chinese are accepted.
Local costs including accommodation and meals will be provided by the organizers. There is no registration fee. Participants need to cover their travel expenses.
